Safety & Security Tips!
Neighbors have previously reported safety and security incidents. Here are some suggestions for our community:
- Keep an eye out for suspicious cars, people, events or items.
- Be aware of local crime activity by talking with neighbors and checking the Village Life or the Sheriff’s web site: http://www.edcgov.us/Sheriff/.
- Report security incidents to the El Dorado County Sheriff at (916) 358-3555 x5655.
- Lock your bicycle if planning to leave it unattended at the park. Missing scooters and bicycles have been reported previously.
- Stop neighborhood speeding. The city of Atlanta has developed some great community resources--useful for our neighborhood too!
- Remind drivers with a yard sign

- Stop sidewalk parking. Some parking creates neighborhood hazards--more great resources from Atlanta.
- Remind drivers with a fake parking citation
- Clear garbage and debris from sidewalks and roads. These can clog drains and cause flooding as well as create a slippery surface.
- Comply with community ordinances. These were created for the safety of residents and guests.
- Talk with neighbors and visitors about safety and security to raise awareness.
